THE COMMISSION

Conceived as a debut solo exhibition, All the Worlds synthesizes a twenty-year career in theatrical direction with medium-format portraiture. The project addresses how personal history, stagecraft, and relational direction intersect to construct physical visual literature.

FIELDWORK & DIRECTORIAL METHOD

The body of work comprises a tightly edited series of black-and-white portraits drawn from both personal lineage and professional collaborator networks. Utilizing formal studio lighting builds, dramatic chiaroscuro contrast, and medium format film depth, subjects are framed as characters within a larger autobiographical play. The installation sequencing mirrors a three-act dramatic arc, using spatial pacing to guide gallery visitors through themes of heritage, performance, and presence.
